How Sponsored works

Venues can pay to appear in Rem's plans. Here is exactly how that works, and the rules that keep plans about what you asked for.

Fit comes first

Rem starts from your request: budget, taste, neighborhood, timing and who's coming. Only venues that already fit can be considered for a step. A venue that doesn't fit can't pay its way in, and paying more never puts the wrong place in your plan.

Always labeled

When a step is paid for, it says "Sponsored" on the step itself. Every step, sponsored or not, comes with a backup you can switch to.

How venues pay

Venues pre-load a wallet and set the most they'll pay per occasion, such as date night or a group outing. They pay only when you redeem your askrem code at their door. If you don't go, they don't pay.

Who never sees sponsored steps

• Users under 18.
• AskRem+ members.

What venues learn about you

That a plan included them, and whether a code was redeemed at their door. Never your chats, your profile or your contact details.
